I would like to transfer designs from the desktop version of SwitcherPro to the online version. I need to uninstall the desktop version in the near future and wish to preserve my design files for future reference.
Hi Chris,
There is no support for transferring designs from desktop to web version currently. The designs are not saved as files, but inside the application itself. If you uninstall desktop app, you will lose your designs.
We are working on making designs as files so that users can save, email, upload on web, etc. But it is not supported currently. Sorry for the inconvinience.

Chris,
At this time, all designs will have to be manually recreated in the Web version, again! There is no migration path from Desktop to Web versions of SwitcherPro.
We are planning to move to file based design storage this year which will help us in the effort to make designs more portable in the future. For now all designs are stored on a local database of your desktop.
Sorry for the inconvenience, and we hope to have this solved soon.
Is there an ETA on the migration tool / data base changeover? I too have a number of designs that I would like to preserve using our corporate archiving tool in something other than a PDF output of each design.
Thanks
Chris
