Two faults in the LM5023 AC/DC designs in the WEBENCH

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LMV431

Fault 1) As far as I can see, the polarity on the bottom-left winding on the transformer has the wrong polarization. When current on the main winding, the detection feedback should respond positive. (This is what the samples in the datasheet does)

Fault 2) Symbol for adjustable zener diode (I assume this is the component missing here) is just a big rectangular blob.

  • Hi Stian,

Thank you for using WEBENCH and taking time to provide feedback. Issue 1 of bottom-left winding polarity is now fixed, schematic is adjusted and now available for you to try. Issue 2 that you are seeing might take a little longer to be fixed. However, it is the Voltage Shunt Regulator image that is getting masked. This schematic should have looked like what is in the attached image. Note, that inside the BOM This component is represented by VR and LMV431 or an equivalent component.

Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

    Best Regards,

    Pavani Jella
