Datasheet and WEBENCH pin differences for LM25118?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM25118, LM5118

I am using the LM25118 chip for a buck-boost converter in my project. I wanted a wide range 5-30V DC input and 5V DC@4A output power supply solution. I used the WEBENCH to get a solution and exported the schematic to EAGLE. After doing the layout and finishing the PCB design, I looked at the datasheet for LM25118 to get some specifications. I noticed that the pin arrangement that was shown on the WEBENCH schematic in browser and on the exported CAD symbol was different than the pin arrangement on the datasheet.

I am now confused on to which pin arrangement to use. Please help!!

P.S. This is also the case with a related chip  LM5118.

  • Hello Freed,

I have reviewed the exported LM25118 Eagle schematic and the pin assignment of the LM25118 Eagle symbol matches the pin assignment of the footprint. But plesae note that the symbol pin assignment is not in sequence.  If you use Eagle schematic to generate the ratsnest for PCB, the pin mapping should be fine.

Can you share the Eagle schematic with me and I can double check the pin assignment:  howard.chen@ti.com
