When I run a transient or steady state simulation I get an error that says:
Cannot create file "". The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect
Any ideas?
Thanks

Jonathan,
We would need a lot more information to address this question. What simulator are you running? What circuit are you running? What IC are you using? How was the circuit created? What kind of machine are you running?
The "cannot create file" is a very common error that may have nothing to do with the simulation either. Normally, it means that you do not have rights to open a file in the specified location.

It doesn't seem to matter on the circuit. In fact I have installed tina ti on a different machine and I don't get this problem
The machine I have problems with is a windows 7 intel machine, but so is the other one. I am administrator on each of them.
Changed the directories that temporary files etc get saved and now it works. Thanks
