How to get this Coil .lib in Tina-Ti

Huhu,

i want to insert a library file of a coil by Bourns (http://www.bourns.com/data/global/engineering/SRP1250/SRP1250-4R7M.lib) in Tina-TI. The Import Wizard seems to work, but the component has i weird behaviour i guess.

Any idea how to corretly import that ?

Martin,

The model you are pointing to is an S-Parameter model for LTSpice, not a PSpice model. I am guessing that it could only be used for an AC simulation, however, I do not believe that TINA supports this model type.

Hi Martin,

The model that you are looking at uses the FREQ table which is supported by TINA but only for AC simulations. A transient simulation will run but the results might not have any value to you since I think it ignores the table statement altogether. Other simulators e.g PSPICE will perform the time domain convolution and produce time domain information but this depends on the simulator. Like mentioned in the previous post this model contains only s parameters you might want to check in their website to see if they have a more "traditional" (i.e. inductor, resistor capacitors) model.

Thank you. Bourns support nevers answers my requests, but i will give it a try.

Martin,

Marcos is correct, AC simulaiton only. If the AC sim does not look "correct", DesignSoft has offered to look at the circuit (.TSC file). You can post it on their forum or here if you need further assistance.
