CAD Symbols for Eagle or Kicad

Hi I wonder if I can use any of the formats listed here:

http://focus.ti.com/general/docs/symfoot/downloadsymbolfootprint.tsp?orderablePartNumber=CC1101RTK&downLoadType=symbol

In the program Eagle or Kicad? Otherwise does TI officially recommend any specific PCB software?

  • Hi Robert,

TI does not generate any symbols and footprints for Eagle or for KiCad and I could not find any translators from any of the available formats into Eagle or KiCad. AXEL and PinPak are text based formats. AXEL looks similar to EDIF and PinPak (https://www.si2.org/?page=435/pinpak) is XML. With a bit of time, one should be able to write a converter from one of these text based formats into KiCad.

TI does not officially endorse or support any specific PCB software package. Internally, TI uses many different PCB solutions.
