I export my Webench design in Altium format. When do fie->open-> *.schdoc Altium crashes

"Access violation at address 34656B02 in module 'AdvSch.dll'. Read of address 7C343D45 at 34656B02.

Exception Occurred In
OpenObject"

Any suggestions please?

BTW, the readme directs you to open the non-existent pcbDoc file.

Hi Nick,

I checked that the zip file had two folders 2014-08-11-05-05-42 and 2014-08-11-05-05-43. The -42 folder had a SchDoc and I could open it in Altium version 12. The -43 folder did not have a Schdoc

Hi Nick,

We checked Altium version 14 and it opens in it as well. Can you please ensure that you are double clicking on the Schdoc and not the PRJSCR or PRJDOC file?

Yes, I'm attempting to open the schdoc.

You are correct in that -43 does not have a schdoc - that is exactly what came from the export. Is that not what you expected?

I'll try a re-install my end even though I don't have any issues with anything else but it won't happen few a few days due to networking issue here.

Did you try the -42 Schdoc? Please send us the exact input conditions for which you got -43.

Only -42 has a schDOc so yes, I did try it.

Hi Gerold,

Ran into some problems:

(1) I can't share the design without exposing my email address on a public forum

(2) I opened the saved design and found things were not as I have saved. I reset the inputs and redid the export. There was only a single folder this time but still causes the crash .

(3) Specific inputs are

In addition, I selected a Coilcraft LPS6225-334MRB for the inductor.

I completely removed Altium, re-installed and it's now working.
