Changing switching frequency?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS54160

Creating a design using TPS54160, I get a warning that the duty cycle is too low.  Is there a way to change the switching frequency in SwitcherPro?  It seems to be nailed to 570 kHz which is a little too high for the application.  I can change the frequency in the 'what if' analysis, but the change is not passed to the design list.

  • Trevor,

Yes, you can set the switching frequency of a design in SwitcherPro.  Right now you can only change it from the beginning of a new design.  You can't go and change it in an existing design.  To set it for the proper switching frequency.  You must enter the design requirements in the "Advanced" inputs tab of the new design creation wizard.

scroll down in the input box on the left side of the window for other options as well.
