Hello,

i have the same issue mentioned in this and this Thread. When i click on "Check for Updates" i get the error massage:

XML document must have a top level element.

In the Threads befor was mentioned to reinstall TINA, I did that and it hasen't changed anything. I even downgraded the Internet Explorer to Version 10.

I hope you can help me.

Hey,

i am using Windows 7 Professional Service Pack 1 (german) 64Bit.

On a core i7 950 with 12GB ram.

Hi,

I have the same problem when Checking for updates:

TINA 9.3.150.4 SF-TI installed on win7 SP1 64-bit.

Administrator account. Running TINA as administrator does not solve the problem.

Is there a solution?

Matteo,

Please try uninstalling TINA and removing any remaining files in the TINA home directory.
The default path for this would be C:\Program Files (x86)\DesignSoft.

After deleting any left-over files, reinstall TINA-TI and run the update as Administrator.

This approach has worked before. Please let me know if it works for you.

John,

uninstalling Tina, deleting the DesignSoft folder and re-installing Tina has worked.

The update process now works.

Just one note: during the update process, it turned out that several (20-40?) local files were newer than the downloaded files. I kept the local files.
