Where can I find TINA spice macros for the 4013 and 40106 logic ics, and other logic ics in general?

Stephan,
You can use the search feature in TINA-TI to find the logic gates. Some of the logic gates are implemented in VHDL and I am not sure that they are supported in TINA-TI. The standard 7400 series are supported and should run correctly.
Click on the search button:
A search window will appear. Type in the IC you are looking for and click on the entry in the list.
Once clicked, you can place the gate into your schematic:
You can change the characteristics of the gates from TTL to LS, ALS, etc. by selecting the gate (right click) and clicking on the Properties... Next, click on the ellipsis next to the Catalog entry. Use the drop down to select the type you prefer.

Stephan,
You can add a VCC and GND node that reference a named jumper, however, it will not change the output of the gate. The built in gates have built in output voltage ranges for a 1 and 0. The VCC and GND references in the properties do not seem to have an effect on the output voltage.

Hi Britt,
Thank you for your previous reply.
I have drawn a simple RC oscillator around a 74HC04 and one with a 40106 CMOS ic with TINA.
In both cases the frequency of oscillation remains fixed, even if I change the R and C values around the inverter gate.
Why is this so? Why can I not change the frequency of oscillation?
For some reason these logic ics are not working correctly in TINA.
Stephan.
Stephan,
Can you provide me the .TSC file so that I may evaluate it?
Britt
Britt,
I am attaching the TSC file.
All my questions are written on the circuit diagram.
Thank you!

Stephan,
Yes, I was able to open it. I am not familiar with the logic gates in TINA-TI, so I have asked for help with your questions. As soon as I hear anything, I will let you know.
Britt
Stephan,
Unfortunately, the digital models for the Schmitt trigger gates do not model the Schmitt trigger input that this oscillator requires to work properly. One of the engineers at DesignSoft has provided me an example model for the CD40106 that has the input properly modeled and should work for this application.
Here is the circuit:
I hope this helps.
Britt
Stephan,
You may ask DesignSoft directly. Please visit them at

Click on the Support-->Technical support tab or post in their forum.
The only PSpice model that I know of is a built in version that cannot be exported and used in TINA-TI.
