LM25118 TI-Tina transient model, AC analysis?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM25118

I was hoping to use TI-Tina to compute the loop gain of a LM25118 circuit, but I can't get past its complaint of "Operating point not found" and "Component: U1.XU1.XVCO.XU5.D1".

Is there some option I should be adjusting to make this do the AC analysis? Is the transient model not suitable for AC analysis?

Thanks

  • Marshall,

The Transient model cannot be used for AC analysis. Loop analysis is typicall done using an average model, which we currently do not have available for the LM25118. However, you could use WEBENCH® Power Designer to look at the loop response for your custom design. You can access it directly from the product folder of the LM25118.
