Dear Sir 

May I remove RT resistor on LM5085 schematic ?

Due to power sequence ,I would like to shutdown LM5085 first ,so i remove RT resistor ,but LM5085 still can supply output without RT resistor

is it allowed ?

    Hi Kai Hsiao,

    You are asking what happens if the RT pin is left open.
    The datasheet doesn’t say anything about this specifically, but from the equations, it suggests the device will go to a minimum on-time and maximum frequency mode. There would be some output power delivered. 

    To fully shutdown the device, RT pin should be grounded.
