LM25088 Frequency of Operation

The maximum frequency of operation is specified as 1MHz on the datasheet. WEBENCH limits the maximum frequency of operation to 525kHz. Why is this limit lower than the datasheet specification?

    Hi Sheldon,

    If you rotate the dial  on the left to the position 1,  you will be able to see and enter values upto 1MHz. By default, Position 1 corresponds to the maximum frequency operation

    Hello Sheldon,

    The maximum switching frequency in the datasheet is calculated under optimal operation conditions. This is the upper bound of operation but not necessary for every design.
    When WEBENCH creates a solution for the specified input requirements it calculates the maximum operating frequency for that design by taking into account certain restrictions, such as minimum on time and maximum operation temperature . By doing this Webench ensures that none of operating conditions are exceeded.
