Hi Team,

I have a simple question about WEBENCH for LDC design.

The coil image output by WEBENCH is the following and it is like polygonal shape rather than circular.

On the other hand, The shape of LDC1614EVM's sensor is circular.

Is it possible to design as circular shape in WEBENCH as LDC1614EVM?
I would like to export CAD file using WEBENCH, so I would like to know it.

    Dear Yaita,

    WEBENCH Inductive Sensing tool currently only generates a 12-sided polygon coil which is a close approximation to the circular coil. At this point, you cannot generate a circular coil. When you export the coil, you'd see that the exported coil is also a 12-sided polygon just as the image shows. As far as the resolution is concerned due to a slight change in shape, it will be pretty close to the actual resolution.
