DC DC converter using LM2679 ADJ

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM2679

I have implemented the following WEBENCH design:

VinMin = 20.0V VinMax = 28.0V Vout = 12.0V Iout = 2.5A

Device = LM2679SX-ADJ/NOPB Topology = Buck

Design : 1099675/13 LM2679SX-ADJ/NOPB

LM2679SX-ADJ/NOPB 20.0V-28.0V to 12.00V @ 2.5A

i am unable to load the supply. The IC goes in to current limit mode even if i load the supply by 300mA or increase input to 26VDC. All the components suggested by TI are used. Please suggest.

  • Hello,

    Thank you for your interest in Texas Instruments' power management solutions and WEBENCH® Power Designer, and I am sorry that you are having issues with the LM2679.

    Can you share your WEBENCH design with me by either doing 1 of the following things:

    1. Use the 'Share Design' button in WEBENCH (share with jonathan.arzadon@ti.com)

    2. Send a copy of the WEBENCH design report with you can access and download the .PDF report by clicking the 'Print' button in WEBENCH

    3. Send a screenshot of the WEBENCH schematic and Bill of Materials for your LM2679 design.

    Also, can you tell me a little bit about your board setup:  are you using the LM2679 EVM board, or the WEBENCH Build-it board, or a custom PCB that you created for the design?

    Best Regards,
