Is that possible to import Linear Technology models .asy that are used in LTspice tool?

Hi Fred,
Where (to which tool) are you trying to import the asy files?
Regards,
Hi Fred,
You can import a generic spice (PSpice compatible) model into TINA-TI. The instructions to do so can be found here:

If you have the asy file, you may be able to export that into a CIR file which could be imported into TINA-TI (if it is PSpice compatible). However if the models used in the asy file are encrypted, then these can only be used in LTSpice and not in any other simulator.
Let me know if that helps.
Thanks,
Fred,
A .asy file is the symbol file used in LTSpice. Models that are built into LTSpice cannot be imported into any other simulator. LTSpice does support PSpice model import, so if you have imported a PSpice file into LTSpice, that model can be imported into TINA-TI. TINA-TI can import PSpice files.
When importing PSpice models into LTSpice, there is an associated .lib file (the model file) necessary for the model to simulate. It is that file that you would need to import into TINA-TI.
Hi Nikhil,
I have an option to insert file and here it is. Not sure if thes works.
Please provide with an option for the private message.
Thank you,

Hi Fred,
You can only insert .TSM file in TINA (not any other extensions ).
If you have the unencrypted lib file of the model you are trying to import to TINA, you can create a .TSM file using that and place it in TINA
Here is the procedure to create .TSM file if you have unencrypted lib file
1. Goto Tools-> New Macro Wizard
2. Give a macro name and choose the life path and click Next
3. If there are no errors you will be taken to next step, here choose next
4. select auto generate shape & click next if no errors in the lib file you will asked to save the .TSM file
once saved you can insert the .TSM file to the schematic (short cut key Alt+I -> M)
Thanks & Regards

Hi Fred,
.asc file can not be directly imported to TINA, we need unencrypted model file for LTM8055 to create .TSM file in TINA.
Thanks & Regards
Suresh
It is weird, but the Wizzard does not work with TI's own encrypted models. Neither there any manual for correctly importing (placing) model/symbol files.
In contrast, LTspice does that automatically, even when provided with bare URL to the model at LT website. The library directory structure is also simple and clear for understanding - just drop files there and it works.
But with TINA I don't have an idea what to do with files.
I have:
LMG5200.tsc
LMG5200_TRANS.LIB <encrypted>
LMG5200_TRANS.TLD
LMG5200_TRANS.TSM
I found a directory for LIB, but where TSM and TSC should be placed? And what is TLD, where does it go?
After putting the TSM to \Ti-Tina\MACROLIB, where I found other TSMs reside, I still did not get the symbol. The TINA offers me blank auto-generated symbol only.
When editing the the symbols devices.ddb database manually with separate symbol editor, I can not link the model to the symbol after that.
BTW, can I ask for unencrypted LMG5200 model? or encrypted once means "no, never" by default?
