The TI FET that I expected to be in the Electrical Procurement BOM was the CSD19533Q5A. It is shown on page 20 as device M2, but the Infineon Technologies FET is shown on page 3 instead.

Problem diagnostics: 

Procurement BOM table errors caused by outdated data in project xml file.

Per talking to WEBENCH team. Here is the solution:

1. Power architect report will completely change how to build procurement BOM table – NOT getting any data from project xml file to build the procurement BOM table anymore.
2. The procurement BOM table will go to each design xml file and collect all part information and build the table. In other words, this procurement BOM table is combination of all design BOM tables of the designs.

No rush here, so if this can be changed by the end of the week, that works for me.

Will this change also fix the issue in the Webench window where the overall BOM cost (discussed in first post) doesn't change after swapping out a part in the schematic? I would assume so, since the procurement BOM probably drives the overall BOM cost value and updating it with the design BOMs should implicitly fix that.

Hi James,

We are currently working on fixing issue in Webench window where the overall BOM cost doesn't change after swapping out a part in the schematic. Thanks for reporting this bug. It may take sometime to fix this issue but we are actively working on it.

It looks like this has been fixed.

I recently replaced a device using the Schematic editor in Webench, and the BOM price changed to reflect the replacement part.

Can you confirm?

Let me clarify that I did this using the regular Webench Power designer, not the Power Architect feature. Not sure if this issue would affect both designers.
