Changing the inductor mentioned in the webench design

Hi All,

I am using a webench design which is attached here, in which an Inductor is mentioned by it, whose manufacturer is not supporting for defence applications. So i thought of changing the Manufacturer.

Inductor recommended by webench design was CBC2012T220M from Taiyo Yuden.
Inductor i have chosen to replace it is LMXS0707M220CTAS from AVX (datasheet is attached)

Please check this and kindly suggest me whether i can select this or not?webench_design_3564703_4_726865270.pdf

  • Vijay,

You can actually edit the component in WEBENCH and see the impact it has on your design. Click on the inductor, then click on the "Edit" button. If you do not find your specific inductor in the alternate list, you can "Create a Custom Part" from the bottom left corner of your screen. In this case, you will be guided by some limits on the inductor specifications when creating the custom part. Please make sure that your new "custom" inductor (LMXS0707M220CTAS from AVX) adheres to these limits. Once you change the inductor to your choice, you should run some electrical simulations on the design (red sine wave button) to verify that you are still getting the expected output and other parameters that are of concern to you.

    Thanks,
