TPS54361 - Switching Frequency

Hello,

In the webench, switching frequency range of TPS54361 is 100kHz to 1.719MHz.
Could you please let me know this reason?

In the datasheet, the range is 100kHz to 2.5MHz.
I would like to set the frequency over 2MHz.

    Asaka-san,

    It depends on you step down conversion ratio and some other factors. For example, if your step down ratio is too small, and if operating at the max frequency of 2.5MHz will violate the Min On Time, then WEBENCH automatically scales back the max frequency allowed for that step down ratio to give you a working design. Other factors that can affect this is power dissipation. If operating at 2.5MHz causes the application to heat up beyond the thermal limits, in that case too the frequency will be scaled back.
