missing curves in webench power designer's electrical simulation report

Hi,

After simulation I always get the waveforms visible to waveforms window. But when I print the report, on some simulations I get the waveforms (curves) into the report and sometimes not. Is there a switch somewhere to turn these curves on to the report?

Simulation type: load transient.

Found the solution myself. Curves were not saved to report, when I stopped simulation myself. When I let simulation run to end the curves were saved. On both cases I could select and see the curves.

Hi Asko,

I recreated your case by stopping the electrical simulation before completion.

my esim report doesn't have charts either due to no chart data files which report needs to create the charts.

That could be your case too. If no chart data, no charts in report.

Thank's for the answer.

I tested the operation several times and verified that when you need the curves to the report, you have to let simulation run to an end. There's no problem when one knows it...

Consider if you could add explanation of this "feature" to documentation. It might help others later, because these cases are hard to find from community. It's very likely to stop the simulation by yourself, when you see that transients have settled.

Dear Asko,
Thank you for taking the time to let us know about this issue. We have put a fix in place that allows the simulation report to be generated even if a simulation was stopped. Once again, thanks for your help in identifying this.
