How can I make a voltage or current generator only perform a few cycles of a signal? For example, how would I tell a current generator to wait 4 us, then give 5 periods of a sign wave? I want to see the steady state, then the signal applied, and then how the circuit settles towards that steady state.

LTSpice has settings called Ncycles and Tdelay. What are the TINA-TI equivalents?

I have contacted DesignSoft and they do not have an equivalent way of delaying a sine wave source or of providing a number of cycles to run only for the periodic source.

There is a delay in the general waveform for triangle and square wave functions, but not for a sine wave generator. The only option in TINA is the user defined excitation (which is ONLY available in the full version of TINA, not in TINA-TI).

I have an example of the time delayed sinusoid, but it is using a controlled source and the time based switch in TINA-TI. The source is continuous, but it is only passed when the switch is used. You could make the switch periodic and try that with the proper timings and get close to the same waveform.

Here is the circuit:

Time delayed sinusoid source.TSC

It was used with a 3V offset for 0-6V output. You can adjust the values and timings at your leisure.

I did make the switch periodic to check it and it looks OK.
