Wrong schematic for LM3671-2.5

WEBENCH Power Designer/Architect seem to be providing a wrong schematic for LM3671-2.5. When I create a design with Vin = 4..5.25 V, Vout = 2.5 V, Iout = 0.25 A, the schematic is shown with a divider on the FB pin, but of course this is incorrect for this fixed-voltage part.

  • Hello,

You are correct, the fixed-voltage part should not have a feedback divider.  However, I am unable to recreate this issue in WEBENCH®.

Were you creating the design from the product folder or from the WEBENCH panel on ti.com?

Can you share the design with me?  You can do this by clicking on the 'Share Design' button at the top of the navigation bar in WEBENCH and send it to my email at jonathan.arzadon@ti.com.  Or can you provide a screenshot of the WEBENCH® schematic and Bill of Materials for your design on this forum thread?

  • My apologies, I seemed to have gotten confused somewhere. What actually happened was that by picking "change design inputs" in Power Architect, I had caused the schematic to change from the fixed-voltage part to the adjustable version even though the voltage had remained unchanged. So, still a bug, but not the bug I thought it was!
