Importing library from Webench design UL error with Altium

Hi Arnau,

I ran the import script using your design file and I was able to import the libraries. I'm on version 14.3.18 but we have tested older versions and newer one without any issues. Are you running a fully licensed version?

Since you have no trouble opening the Schematic or the PCB files, you can generate the libraries from either the schematic or the PCB files. I would use the schematic since it included some of the voltage sources without any footprints.  Also I have included the translated libraries here in case you want to use it.

Sorry I don't have an answer to the Altium import issue but I hope the suggestions and files are helpful.

Thank you so much for the quick reply Howard, I really appreciate that you took the time to write the suggestions and send the file.

However, I'm a bit new to Altium and I'm experiencing some doubts/problems with your suggestions:

1) When I try to open the translated libraries you sent I get this:

2) As you say, if I generate the library from the schematics, I don't get the footprints nor the step model. I think that having the footprints and step models is esential for the import to be really time saving. I've also been trying to find the components models stated in the schematics but I don't really know in which library to look. I've tried the National Semiconductor library but I can't find the LMR14206 anywhere, nor the other simple components.

Hi Arnau,

I apologize that the Altium project packer did not included the .lib files.  I have repackaged the project here in the zip file.  Please give it another try.

Btw, after the project is loaded, you will need to use the Compile Document feature within the Project menu.  it should show the library components after the compilation:

I'm sorry I hadn't checked the files because I wasn't at my workplace, just one question: is this how the footprints exported from webench look or should I be able to see the 3d model?

The provided footprints are only in 2D form. Sorry we don't have that capability yet with the translation tool
