TPS56121 WEBENCH BOM count error

Hello TI enginners,

My customer run TPS56121 WEBENCH with default parameters. As the result, WEBENCH said BOM count is 73. But I think the number is too large.

The correct BOM count should be 22.

Could you please check the WEBENCH and please modify it as soon as possible because my customer needs WEBENCH for their PCB TPS56121

I ran the default parameters for TPS56121. The actual BOM count is 23 items in the BOM, but you are correct, the OpVals does report it as 73. I'll move this post to the webench forum to hve them correct it. it should not prevent you from using Webench for your design though. You can just ignore that line in the OpVals.

Kazuya-san,

We have confirmed that there is an error in the calculation table for the OpVals. We are correcting the error and testing it currently. If no issues are found, it should be released to production during the next build.

Like I said, I don;'t think this error affects the other webench calculations. You should be able to use it now.

I see. I will tell my customer that the WEBENCH can be used now for their designing except BOM count and BOM list.

I think the actual BOM listing is ok. WB is just calculating the wrong total parts count to pu in the opvals listing.

John is correct. The BOM count in the OpVal table is calculated incorrectly. That is the error that has been corrected and will be released in the next production release. This will NOT effect the circuit or the solution for the device other than having the BOM number in the OpVal table correct.

TPS56121/221 BOM count was corrected on 3/23/16 evening. Please create a new design and let us know about any other issue that you may encounter.
