Import/Export IC models from/to TINA/LTspice

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI

Hi everyone

I need to simulate an audio amplifier, and I am using IC LME49830 from TI and LT1166 from Linear Technologies. I didn't find an adequate spice model of LME49830, only an encrypted model which doesn't work on LTspice. So I decided to use TINA simulator from TI, and here I have LME49830 model but I don't know how to import LT1166 model from LTspice to TINA-TI and use it in my circuit. Although, exporting LME49830 model from TINA-TI to LTspice could be very useful to me. I only found information about how to import/export NETLIST's between the simulators, but nothing about what I really need. I'll appreciate any help or recommendation from you guys.

Thanks a lot.

Best regards,

Matías

  • Matias,

Unfortunately, the LME49830 model is encrypted and cannot be used in LTSpice. You would need to obtain the unencrypted PSpice model in able to use it in any simulator other than PSpice. The TINA-TI model is also encrypted.

You can follow the information in the following FAQ to see if you can get the unencrypted PSpice model:

The unencrypted model may require an NDA with TI in order to obtain the model.
