HI,

I am using TPS61175 in my deisgn and also doing TINA simulations for the same.

I have provided input of 4V & my desired output is 30v / 300mA min

Here in simulations, if i need to generate 30v output, my load current need to be limited to 240 to 260mA...

Please confirm . I didn't changed anything in the TI provided TINA deck apart from the feedback resistor values for generating 30V.

Rset connected to freq pin is 51k , Soft start pin connected to 1nf.

Hi Jones,

Please use WEBENCH Power Designer to design the application for youe specific needs. I have created a design for you with the following specifications: Vin = 4V, Vout = 30V @ 0.25A. You can adjust the load as desired. Once you have your design, you can choose to simulate this within WEBENCH itself, or make the TINA-TI circuit same as WEBENCH and simulate it in TINA-TI.

Thanks Nikhil.... I am shifted to PSIPCE simulations which is faster...

Do the TINA tool full version available for purchase which can run faster ?

Jones,

Did you find the TINA-TI simulations for this device to be slower than PSpice? In our benchmarking, TINA-TI is typically faster than PSpice simulations.

Yes nikhil . I am using 32Gb ram/I7 core system.

I am running for 5ms.

I do not see that on my machine. TINA-TI sim ran in 4 minutes (5ms). I ran PSpice as well and it took 8 minutes to run till 3.5ms (which is when I stopped it).

In any case, there is a full (paid) version of TINA available from DesignSoft. You can purchase it by clicking on Help >> Upgrade from within TINA-TI. As far as TINA-TI V9 and TINA (full version 9) are concerned, I would not expect to see much time difference. The difference is mainly in what features are supported. However, DesignSoft does have TINA V10. We have not bench-marked it so can not guarantee any speedup with it.
