How to understand a pulsating current source

currently i am trying to the pulsating current source to simulate the behavior of a photo diode,

what i did not understand is a voltage parameters in current source, can any one please explain how to exploit pulsating current source to properly use them as photo diode response

Hi Daram,

That 'V' you saw does not mean the amplitude is deemed as a voltage. The amplitude itself is unitless, for voltage source it is interpreted as voltage and for current source it is interpreted as current. This will not cause a problem in your simulation.

We'll get it removed as it is confusing.

for example if i want to simulate a photo diode behaviour, which is active for 10ns generating 100nA current and no current rest of the time, should i have to change the "Amplitude #1" of waveform in above snapshot or the DC level[A], which one i have to change ???

Amplitude. And set the DC level to zero.
