Simple WEBENCH question: Pinout doesn't match part.

WEBENCH created a design for TPS54821 following my requirements; however, when I selected "Show Pins" in schematic the pins did not match the part. Is this common with WEBENCH? It makes me a little nervous if the tool can't get match the correct pinout.

Jeff,

For some older parts, we show a simplified schematic in WEBENCH (remove redundant pins). However if you are doing Schematic Export, it should export out the correct number of pins. Are you having issues with just the schematic or with schematic export.

I have not tried an export yet - its just the schematic. Its your thought the export would match the part?

Jeff,

Yes, the exported schematic has all the pins, but they may be stacked. Note that newer parts should show you all the pins in WEBENCH directly.

I'm using TPS54821 from webench and exported to EAGLE. The schematic symbol had 10 pins, where the actual part had 12 non-redundant pins (15 total). The eagle part itself actually had 5 pins connected to nothing, including but not limited the thermal pad (pin 15), second ground pin, and a few others.
