Irregular Circuit Error in Tina Ti

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INA114

Hello,

I have checked my circuit many times and don't know why it is showing "Irregular Circuit" when I try to do a transient analysis or AC analysis calculation of nodal voltages. What could be the problem?

I don't know what FB is for in INA114. I cannot find it in any data sheets.

Thank you in advance.

Kind regards,

Miranda

  • Miranda,

The unconnected pin on the INA114 model is a feedback pin for one of the device's SOIC option.
For the DIP package, the connection is internal.

If you are satisfied with the nominal gain of the output stage you can connect the FB pin to the output pin.
If you wish to increase the gain of that stage, add an additional resistor between FB and the output.
You may need to add some additional resistance to the REF pin.

If you click on the warning messages in the ERC window, it will highlight the associated connection on the schematic.
You should be able to edit that connections to clear the warnings.

One additional thing to try: the source VS2 make have the wrong value or polarity. Please try flipping it vertically or leaving it the way it is and changing the value to +15V.

If clearing these warnings don't get rid of the Irregular circuit message, please upload your circuit to this thread and I will look at it.

    John

  • Dear John,

Thank you for your fast response. I have connected the FB pin to the output of INA114. I am still getting the irregular circuit error.

I don't know why VS2 should be 15V. The power I have allocated to INA114 is +/- 15V. I have tried changing V2 to 15V but the error still occurs.

I have uploaded my circuit in my original post. The difference is that I connected FB pin to the output. I didn't change V2.

Could you please help me further. Thank you in advance.

    Kind regards,
    Miranda

  • Miranda,

Did you upload the TINA.TSC file?
I don't see it in the original post, just the schematic image.

I need your .TSC file with the circuit that is giving you problems. Without that, there isn't much we can do.

    Regards,
    John
