Error message when trying to run SwitcherPro

Good morning,

I get the following error message after I have saved the installation files on my PC and try to run it:

Some installation files are corrupt.

Please download a fresh copy and retry the installation.

It then gives me the option of selecting: OK.

If I click on OK, I get the following message:

Extracting SwitcherProDTSetup\setup.exe

Extracting SwitcherProDTSetup\SwitcherProDTSetup.msi

CRC failed in SwitcherProDTSetup\SwitcherProDTSetup.msi

Unexpected end of archive

I get the same error message when I try to use it online.

This same problem happens on my notebook at home.

My PC details are: Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 2, 2.8GHz, 2MB RAM.

Is there anyone who can help me?

Thank you,

Stephan.

  • Good morning,

I came in very early this morning to work and downloaded Switcherpro for the seventh time - this time succesfully!

Could the problem have been due to our network being slower during the previous downloads when everyone was at work and the internet being used more than now?

I also do not have a very high speed internet link at home - could this be a problem?

    Sincerely,

    Stephan.

  • Hi Stephan,

Looking at the original error message in your first post, it looks like your browser was aborting the download in the middle of the archive. In general, I have never experienced this behavior, even when downloading our tools from a hotel room in Asia. Maybe you have a link that sometimes drops the connection and your browser cannot recover. What browser do use? Maybe you could try it in Firefox?
