The simulation time limit error appears when we run TPS53319 startup simulation.
What is this cause? and Do you have any solution?

Hi Sasaki-san,

Are you seeing this for a single design specification or for multiple design specifications?

An alternate would be to use TINA-TI to simulate this using the WEBENCH circuit.

It is single design. Is this cause due to long simulation time?
Why does it take long simulation time such as this.
And TPS53319 WEBENCH doesn't support SIM export function. So do we must make new circuit with TINA?

Sasaki-san,

Yes, simulation export from WEBENCH to TINA-TI is currently not enabled for this device. I will increase the priority on that to be completed. For now, you can take the TINA-TI reference design in the product folder already and manually modify the components to match WEBENCH.

Simulation export to TINA-TI has now been enabled for TPS53319. You can give it a try.

Hello Frank,

In some of our components, the customer is usually more interested in observing steady state results faster. So in such cases we provide models with additional parameters. These parameters are mainly used inside macro to set initial conditions on internal capacitors.

e.g. A model may simulate for 5ms to complete startup behavior in normal case. But if FAST parameter is set to 1, it will finish the startup in 0.5ms and show the steady state behavior sooner i.e. in 1/10th simulation time.

Similarly, if you are only interested in steady state behavior and set STEADY parameter to 1, then the model will try to show steady state behavior directly.

Please note that these parameters vary from component to component and strictly based on model requirements. Not all model will come with these parameter settings.
