How do I change the switching frequency for the TPS53819A in the TINA simulation? I can see how to open up the macro, and I can edit the macro to change FREQ_SEL=1 (325KHz) to FREQ_SEL=4 (600KHz) but there is no option to "save". I can do a "save as" *.cir, but the switching frequency does not change.
Also, the macro has FREQ_SEL=1, but the adjacent comment has FREQ_SEL=2. FREQ_SEL=2 is correct since this corresponds to 425KHz, which agrees with the simulation. Shouldn't the comment reflect the same value as in the macro?
Lance,
The documentation is a little bit odd. PMBUS values usually are represented this way. FREQ_SEL values are listed properly as:
0 = 275kHz; 1 = 325kHz; 2 = 425kHz; 3 = 525kHz; 4 = 625kHz; 5 = 750kHz; 6 = 850kHz; 7 = 1000kHz.
Once you change it for the IC, it is automatically changed. Highlight the Parameters block and click on the ellipsis:
Update the parameter value as needed:
Click on OK and the schematic should be updated and should perform as expected.
