CAD format for Reference Designs

What CAD format do you use for your reference designs and what CAD package can I use to edit them in? I would like to use one of the energy meter reference designs as a starting point for my own design

You can use "cofaso" to make your electrical CAD design, it is free to download

Hello Ashley,

Many, but not all, Ref Designs are provided in .BRD format for Cadence Allegro. For example, the TIDA-00601 Smart Meter uses Cadence. There are also .DSN files with some, those are related to OrCAD.

Which design in particular are you considering? The easiest way may be to find the Ref Design you are considering, scroll down to the CAD link, save and then open the .zip file and see what the file extension is.
