Hello,
I want to simulate LMP8645 (current sensing amplifier) using TI Tina. In the datasheet it states that SNOM087 is the Tina spice model, but I cannot find the model from Tina. Can you please let me know which model I should use? Also, I am using the free version and would like to find out if the spice model can be imported.
Thanks,
rainbow,
The PSpice model for the LM8645 is available in the product folder under the Tools and Software tab. Simply download the .zip file to your computer and extract the file. The file has a .mod extension, so I would rename it to LM8645.lib and then use the TINA-TI New Macro Wizard to import the file. There is a video on how to use the New Macro Wizard in the following training series:
Video 1.9 should show you how to import the file. I would use the LMP8646 symbol or you can create your own using the Auto generate shape option. The model should import without any issues.
Hi Britt,
Thanks for your help. But, somehow the output voltage is not amplified by the gain resistor. I've attached the schematic that I created to this message and hope that you can see it. Could you please let me know what I did incorrectly in the circuit? My intention for VG1 in the schematic is to make the voltage source to be PWM, but I am not sure if I did correctly.
Thanks!
rainbow,
Try moving the Voltage source to the other side of R1 (the sense resistor). I have attached the modified circuit below.
Your voltage source is a 48V to 0V signal with a 50% duty cycle.
