PMP6659 ( TPS23756PWPR ) evaluation BD schematic quation

Hi , I have a question is TPS23756PWPR application. In the PMP6659 evaluation schematic have a MOSFET ( Q6 ) and serial Resistor ( R14 ) I don't understand these component functionality. Is someone can help to explain for me? Thanks for your help. Sorry my english is not good, may cause you trouble.

Hi Jason,

These parts are for in-rush current limit. The large bulk capacitors are charged through R14 until the Q6 FET turns on. Once the Q6 FET is on, it shorts out the resistor.
