Webench/TPS54334: TPS55334 schematic issue

Hello,

I have several questions with drawing schematic with TI's TPS54334DDA.

1.     Reference schematic of EVM user guide and WEBENCH Designer  schematic is different as attached. which one do I follow?
2.     Can you recommand another schematic for Vin 24V / Vout 12V / Iout 3A besides above two?
3.     Is there any other TI device that 12V/3A fixed output?
4.     Please explain the Vstart and Vstop at Equation 2,3 of 1.3.2 Adjustable UVLO’ from page 3 of attached ‘TPS54334_evm.pdf’ file.
5.     When I apply the above equation 2,3 to EVM schematic, then R1 , R2 value is differenent.
-       If Vstart = 4.1V, Vstop = 3.23V, then R1=220k, R2=124.9k

    Here are some possible answers to your questions.

    1.) You should follow the one that most matches your needs. The WEBENCH schematic was created for 24V in, 12V out at 3A. The EVM was created for 4.2V to 28V vin, Vout from 1.8V to 5.0V, and Iout from 0A to 3A. The two designs are different and meet very different design targets. You will have to determine what your actual design targets are and use those as a guide for what your actual circuit will be.

    2.) I am sure that there are several schematics that can be created to give you the desired results. I do not know if the EVM circuit will function at 12V as it was not designed for that high an output voltage. You can use WEBENCH to generate many different schematics for the basic input requirements using the same IC or different IC's that are available.

    3.) Just plugging in 20-28V Vin, 12V out at 3A, there are over 100 TI products in WEBENCH that could be used.

    Questions 4 and 5 should probably be answered by the product group.
