TINA/Spice/UCC20520: TINA/Spice/UCC20520:

Part Number: UCC20520

Tool/software: TINA-TI or Spice Models

I am unable to create a tina macro from the UCC20520_TRANS.lib file.

I get to the point where you select the shape you want to assign.

I select auto generate shape, the select Next and I get the following syntax error:

Missing syntax element. Line: #62.

  • Hi Keith,

Please find attached the TINA-TI macro file generated from the UCC20520_TRANS.lib file. There was a minor syntax issue that sometimes occurs while importing PSPICE model file to TINA-TI.

Please let us know if you face any problem while using the macro file.

    UCC20520_TRANS.TSM

    Thanks!!

  • The Model has a convergence problems.

I am inputting a 20KHz PWM signal , will not converge.

I changed the 20KHz PWM signal to a 20KHz square wave, the part will only converge when the DT resistor is 49.9K, 450K.
It is hit or miss if the model converges on DT resistor values in between 49.9K and 450K.

  • Hi Keith,

I can not address the convergence issue until I go through actual schematic that you are using. It is not always model which is at fault for convergence issues. Sometimes it is schematic, sometimes the parametric settings boundaries you set for acceptable time steps, incremental current and voltage values which cause convergence issues.

Could you please share the TINA-TI schematic here? I will go through it and see how to resolve the convergence problem you are facing.

    Thanks!!
