Webench/LM25118: Using two inductors instead of one due to physical constraints?

Part Number: LM25118

Tool/software: Webench

I am using the excellent WINBENCH to design a reference switching power supply.

My design has physical size constraints which mean I am limited to ~8.5mm width and 7mm height. This rules out every single recommended inductor for the design!

The recommended part is the 22uH variant of;  www.vishay.com/.../lp40dz11.pdf

I have plenty of 'width' on the board, so my question is-

Can I use two smaller inductors instead, in series or parallel? What should I watch for? I assume if I picked inductors with an adequate Q value, then putting them in parallel would essentially keep their properties but double the current capability, but my knowledge of inductors is pretty poor.

Any advice would be appreciated.
