TINA/Spice: How to use two or more GROUND connections in TINA?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI

Tool/software: TINA-TI or Spice Models

My application is build around a transmission line, having a transmitter and receiver at either ends. Both of them are isolated from Tranmission line using transformer. I have overall model ready but the problem is the system practically does not share the same ground. How do I simulate with two different grounds? Or is there any to isolate the grounds? Please share your opinions, thanks.!

  • Hello,

I'm thinking that maybe you can tie all the Receive side common connections together and drive that common / single node with a voltage source of your choice. This voltage source could then be a DC, AC, or noise source depending on what you think the major difference between the Send / Receive grounds  is or what you like to simulate.
