Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools
I have encountered this issue several times on WEBENCH and wanted to give the feedback:
There are several passive components in the database which for whatever reason don't have any footprint data (size). When submitting design requirements into WEBENCH and specifying a maximum component height as a constraint, it will still display solutions which show up as "0mm height". When you look at the actual datasheet for the devices you will see that they do not meet the requirement.
Example: Submitted for a design with 2.5mm max height requirement and got the following design where the inductor has no dimensions and the datasheet shows it is 3.3mm tall: https://webench.ti.com/appinfo/webench/scripts/SDP.cgi?ID=0B57A466F16FB27D
Can this issue be addressed?
Also as a side note, it would be nice to have an option to only display "real" components in the search results. Many options often show up where the inductor is "CUSTOM" which doesn't really help when trying to find a real design quickly.
