TINA/Spice: Having trouble importing LMG5200 pspice model to ads (advanced design system)

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI, LMG5200

Tool/software: TINA-TI or Spice Models

Hello,

In order to do my final master thesis i am going to buy and use the lmg5200, I will probably buy everything on monday.

However before anything I wanted to work on my design and simulate the lmg5200 in ads (advanced design system). I have tried everything to import the model (import lib from the project into ads as netlist and as schematic. Create a netlist from TINA as Pspice and import it into ads) but nothing has worked. And I am out of ideas now.

I would really appreciate any help you could give me. As this is critical in my design.

Thank you very much for your time,

Carlos Salto

  • Carlos,

The PSpice and TINA-TI models in the product folder are encrypted and can only be used in PSpice or TINA-TI respectively. THe model has not been tested or used in ADS. In order to use the model in ADS, you would need the unencrypted PSpice model which requires an NDA with TI.

If you have an NDA with TI, you can follow the directions in the FAQ for how to obtain the unencrypted model:

See the section on Getting the unencrypted model.

One other thing I want to point out is the ADS may not be completely compatible with imported PSpice models as our signal chain team has found that some of the Op Amp models require significant changes before they will function in ADS.
