WEBENCH® Tools/TPS54318: TPS54318 Webench Issue

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

Hi,

I am trying to use Webench for TPS54318 with the following specifications.

Vin - 4.5 to 5.5V

Vout - 3.3V

Iout - 3A

Webench is not able to simulate this part and showing an error - 'Maximum Power Dissipation = 0'

Is there any issue with webench or does the part has any issue supporting 3A?

I use the WEBNECH to simulate the EVM specifications, it also failed.

So I think it's the problem of WEBENCH. This part should be work with 3.3Vout/3A.

And I will give feedback to the WEBENCH team for more details.

Just to give an update - the issue was resolved yesterday and you should now be able to create a design in WEBENCH Power Designer for the TPS54318 with Vin=4.5-5.5V, Vout=3.3V, Iout=3A.
