TINA/Spice/OPA322: How to use "Import TINA Libraries and Designs" feature in TINA-TI v9?

Dear colleagues,

TINA-TI v9 does not have OPA322 in its standard library, and so I decided to download "OPAy322 TINA-TI Spice model" from TI OPA322 Product Folder, and then - import it into TINA-TI.

Unfortunately TINA-TI import feature does not seem working for TINA-intended models. After I go to File/Import/Import Tina libraries ... the program shows some strange folder selection dialogue with grey “Go” button. Any attempts to select the folder, containing OPA322.lib (and also .tld and .TSM) result in nothing.

How do I import TINA models into TINA-TI?

Alex,

In TINA, select the menu Insert/Macro and select the OPA322.TSM file.

You can them use the cursor to place the symbol in a schematic.

Hi John,

I have the same issue as Alex. I want to import INA163, OPA2192 and OPA192. I tried your suggestion. From Insert/Macro I get Designsoft/Tina 9 or Imported Designs. Imported Designs has nothing in it. Tina 9 takes me to a number of Subfolders. But from each of these, when I type in e.g. INA163.TSM I just get "no items match your search". Even when I type in a Macro which is already on the system (found using the search icon), I get the same response.

Alan,

The Insert/Macro menu is for TINA macros with a .TSM extension, which can be downloaded to your local directory from the device's product folder, or from the SpiceRack: https://webench.ti.com/webench5/spicemodels/#

After selecting Insert/Macro, you can navigate to your local folder with the downloaded .TSM file and insert it from there.

That worked great.

Can I now add them to my library of Macros. or do I have to keep a separate folder for them on my PC and retrieve them each time?

Alan,
You will have to keep them in a local folder and insert them whenever you need them.
