TINA/Spice/TPS560200: How do I request for TINA-TI model for this regulator?

Part Number: TPS560200
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI,

Tool/software: TINA-TI or Spice Models

Hi,

I'd like to experiment with output filter circuits for the regulator TPS560200. However, I cannot find a TINA-TI model for this regulator. I exported a model from WeBench but I cannot edit the schematics.

How do I request a TINA-TI model for this regulator?

Appreciate your help,

Regards,

Satish

  • Hi Satish,

The Sim Export feature is enabled for this part and as you mentioned, you have already used it to export the design into TINA-TI. For now, the Sim Export feature is not using inbuilt TINA passive components and so you might be finding it difficult to edit the values. There are a couple of ways you can edit the component values. e.g. For Resistor or Inductor, you can always double click on the part >> select Enter Macro and edit the values there. But for components like capacitor, where WEBENCH uses more complex model, you can replace it with generic capacitor model from TINA-TI and use that for simulation.

Alternatively, you can export macro from exported schematic and use it in a new TINA-TI design by inserting macro.

    Steps to Export Macro:

    1. Select the macro by clicking on it once. (Macro border will become red)

    2. Use Tools >> Export Macro... option to export and keep it a known location.

Steps to Insert Macro in schematic:

    1. Use Insert >> Macro... option and insert it from the location where the macro is saved in previous case.

I hope above procedure helps resolve the issue. Please let us know if you have further questions.

    Thanks!!

    Best Regards,
