TINA/Spice/BQ25504: BQ25504 simulation errors

Dear all,

I am using TINA-TI for simulating BQ25504. it gives good results from 350 mVolts to 500mVolts. But the output for 130 mv to 300 mv is very very low, and its not as per data sheet.

Can someone help me with this.

Reddy,

I think that you are seeing that the device uses a Cold Start Operation. In this case, the device does not start unless the Vin is greater than the 330mV threshold for some amount of time. Please review the datasheet for more details on the Cold Start Operation (Section 8.4.1). I have modified your test bench to use a varying voltage input that shows that the operation should be correct. In the testbench, I have lowered the input voltage to 130mV after the device has passed the Cold Start period and the device appears to function properly.
