TINA/Spice/TPS62163: Inverting circuit model

Part Number: TPS62163
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TINA-TI,

Tool/software: TINA-TI or Spice Models

Hi,

Customers are trying to make inverting circuits using TPS62163.
Customers are considering circuits like the following materials.

Can I simulate the inverting output (3.3 V -> -5 V / 60 mA) of the TPS6216x series with TINA simulation tool?
If yes, is there an inverting circuit model?

Best Regards,

  • Hi Yuto Sakai,

The existing TPS62163 model does not support an inverting configuration. The following FAQ gives gives some more information about this.

  • Hi Lakshmi-san,

    Thank you for your reply.

I changed the TPS62163 transient model (slvma51) and designed a circuit like the attached TSC file.

    TPS62163_inverting.TSC

As a result of simulation with this circuit, it looks like the following image.

As you can see from the FAQ, I understand that about 0 V is output because all the GND nodes of the spice model are internally connected to 0 V, is this correct?

Also, are there any plans for TPS62163 to support inverting configuration?

If No, would you make this device available with simulation of inverting  circuit?

    Best Regards,

    Yuto Sakai
