Is it possible to create a WEBENCH thermal simulation for a section of a custom device? In other words, how can I draw my own layout for a single device and create a thermal simulation ?

    Hi Jaime,

    You can edit the thermal model by clicking on the "Edit Thermal Simulation Copper Model" button on the top after you open the thermal simulation. You can change the copper model by modifying the rectangle. From a thermal simulation perspective, this creates an equivalent effect of changing the layout. Please remember that this changes the thermal model only. After you simulate it, please remember to update your actual layout with the changes that you desire. The board layout does not change when you change the thermal model. The thermal model change is for simulation only.
