TIDA-01168: P-CAD export, please?

Part Number: TIDA-01168

Hello, I'd like to get my hands on a TIDA-01168 but since they aren't for purchase, I will make my own (and modify the CAD slightly).  Unfortunately, my company doesn't have Altium.  Could I please get an export of TIDA-01168 in P-CAD format?  It appears I can import that into my KiCAD.

Thanks!

Tiffany

  • Dear Tiffany,

thank you for reaching us on E2E forums. I am happy that KiCAD gains popularity.

I converted the design with the following online service:

and was able to open it in my copy of KiCad (4.07).

Could you please check if the following file works for you too?

  • You're very welcome. Please keep in mind that there are some changes which I recommend. Please refer to chapter 9 of the design guide. If I had to re-spin the board, I would consider using 2 separate PCBs where one contains control circuitry (the strip of components on the right side) and the second is just the high-power stuff. This eventually eliminates long traces to the current sense resistors and FETs. There are also new automotive qualified mosfets to consider e.g. Vishays SQJQ480E (and similar) or Toshiba's TK60R10N1L, TK55S10N1.
Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

    Best Regards, Jiri
