TINA/Spice: Parameters field for VCCS element

Hello,

I'd like to learn more about using the Parameters field for the VCCS element in TINA spice. Can you direct me to an example or an example that uses parameters for another element.

Hi Tom,

I can try to find out more information for you. However, this is typically not required. If you want to pass voltages and currents and create an arbitrary expression with a gain, I would recommend that you use the Sources >> Controlled Sources >> Control Source Wizard instead. It offers a lot of flexibility in terms of what you can do. The Video training series below has some examples that you can check out as well.

I just wanted to learn more about the PARAMETERS functionality and how to use it. The parameters field is used in many other TINA spice models such as the n-channel J-FET for example. Again, I'm more interested in learning about how to use the PARAMETERS field as opposed to implementing the specific VCCS element.

Tom,

Here are some more specifics from the tool developers

"These parameters are not electric parameters. They will be added to the Bill of Materials list which can be created from the File menu.
Using these parameters you can add Manufacturer, Part number etc. to the components. Since VCCS is not a physical part these parameters are normally not used for this component, although you can add a comment etc."
