TINA/Spice/TINA-TI: Observation of curret

Hi

There is oscilloscope in TINA-TI.

Can we capture current using oscilloscope?

Or is there any way to observe current wave dynamically?

BestRegards

  • Hi,

In your TINA-TI test bench, please click on Analysis. Select Options.

Please check if the field "Enable instant diagram drawing" is checked as shown below

If the above mentioned field is checked, simulation result window will appear during the simulation run time. Below is the snapshot of simulation result window.

Let us know if you have any more concern.

    Thanks & Regards,

  • Hi Arpan

    Thank you for your reply.

"Enabel instant diagram drawing" had already been enabled.

We are referring a reference design of LM3401.

We want to select current channel like I_L1 in the virtual oscilloscope.

    Is it possible?

  • Hi,

Virtual oscilloscope does not have current probe option.

    Thanks & Regards,

  • Originally, the oscilloscope used CRT display. The electron beam inside the CRT is twisted by the input voltage and the internally generated scan signal (also a voltage). And the current probing requires probes that uses the magnetic field surrounding the current. The current probes generate a voltage from the field which is fed into the oscilloscope. Likewise, you can use a current controlled voltage source to convert the signal and use the virtual scope to monitor the converted voltage.
